Pantaloon was originally released by Simon & Schuster/The Little Golden Books in 1951, with illustrations by Leonard Weisgard. The 2010 remake of the book (about a persistent poodle determined to become the baker's new assistant) has all new illustrations with Steven 's unique spin on the character Pantaloon... from his red bicycle to his collection of interesting hats. The original art was created using brush & gouache, with added digital enhancements.
